CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY
Nathaniel never met his real parents. He was found abandoned in stroller, naked and malnourished.
The three day old baby was taken to a small church on the edge of Lyra. There, he was raised by the kind people of the church. He soon became healthy once more, and was perfect baby boy. The only reason that he could've been abandoned was because of his Zodiac sign. His birth date was so close to an Aquarius, they speculated that the baby was abandoned for not being born the sign his parents wished for him to be.
Eventually, after voting on his name, they named him Nathaniel, meaning "God has given". His last name was simply the last name of the woman who stepped up to breastfeed him.
As he got older, Nathaniel, or just Nathan, began shying away from others. He was often seen staring blankly at the white walls of the church, quietly whispering things to himself. Some were afraid that Nathaniel was possibly possessed, but the people who knew him best quickly dismissed these rumors.
As it turned out, Nathaniel was merely talking to imaginary friends. Unlike most children's fake friends, Nathaniel's were often very complex, and the detail he went into describing them and their personalities shocked many. Intrigued, the priest decided to send Nathaniel to public school.
School was his Hell. Nathan frequently came back to the church in tears, with little scrapes and bruises all over his body. He told his main caretakers that the other students made fun of him and beat him up because he was a Pisces. They encouraged Nathan to defend himself or say something to the teachers, but every day he just came home the same way.
As he grew, Nathaniel began to grow more passionate when talking to his imaginary friends. He would have headed arguments with no one other than himself. Often, when he was out and about, Nathan would simply begin loudly blurting out parts of a conversation.
He would speak down to each one, as if he was a king, and they were his servants. When asked why, he only ran away to his room, where he proceeded to the lock the door.
Nathaniel is now onto his last year at high school, and is ready to graduate ASAP. he wants nothing more than to be back in the church, listening to the choir peacefully. He still regularly gets beat up for being a Pisces.
Zodiac Attitudes
Nathaniel believes the Zodiac signs are ridiculous. He hates them, but he never says anything about his opinion. He knows how the citizens of Lyra love their mythology, and does not dare to raise his quiet voice against them. If his church was not located in Lyra, and if he was more confident in himself, Nathaniel would've left long ago.
