CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY
The Rayl family had two sons. The first was everything they could have dreamed of: strong, handsome, well-mannered, intelligent. The second grew in his shadow.
Meet Amber, a slightly sarcastic, rebellious and 'everything-mom-says-I-shouldn't-be' teenage boy. If you say jump, he sits down. If you scold him, meet his temper.
Everyone focused on his brother Andrew. No matter what amazing thing Amber tried to do, Andrew had already done it- but better. And the worst part? He was nice about it. He was always kind and caring and helpful towards his little brother, which made everything that much more infuriating.
And so, as many attention-seeking little brothers do, he began to act out. He'd throw tantrums, get into fights, constantly finding ways to soothe his aggression.
He never grew out of it.
From his insecurity sprouted a need to show everyone exactly how much better than them he was. Amber always scored the top grades, made sure to dress well, and never let anyone see when he was upset or nervous. Instead, he learned to hide everything with an arrogant smirk. "Mean, huh? You think that's going to hurt my feelings? Nah, you're just weak!"
Amber lets everyone know he is the best. He is a poor sport, a braggart, and the center-stage spotlight. He has a vicious way with words and will not hold back when insulting someone; he lacks sensitivity, and is very blunt. However, he's not necessarily a bad guy; just insecure. It's difficult for him to let his guard down around others, and he secretly fears that the moment he does so, he'll be laughed at and have his weaknesses used against him. But underneath the 'too cool' exterior is a little lonely boy, just wanting to be liked by those around him; he's just not sure how to go about it.

Lyra has a very divided mindset, between those who think signs should be separated and who think it's right to discriminate other signs, and those who are exploring a new outlook where perhaps one's fate shouldn't be decided by their stars. What does your character think?
Amber is very self-centered and sees no harm in judging other signs. Why would he take the time to actually get to know a whiny Pisces? He knows they're just a bunch of crybabies, so there's no point in interacting with them or trying to contradict the fact. Those who try to object against this status quo are just jealous, self-pitying sore-losers. Probably Taurus, they seem like the type to be stubborn and 'fair'. Ugh. He will readily judge you by your sign and be disgusted if you don't do the same. He is a very conservative follower of Lyra traditions. He isn't necessary against the integration of the signs, but he wouldn't be against having them separated again either.
